Hi All,
I had a Zyxel VMG8324-B10A but it was driving me mad with out of MDM memory reboots (had tried firmware updates) so anyway I purchased a XMG 3927 - seems to be pretty good so far !
Literally a week after it arrived, i got an email from BT saying i can now get FTTP !!
So the first possibly silly question is .. will the XMG 3927 be ok for 300Mbs FTTP ? .. i assume the wan port connects to the new BT doo dar when it's installed ?
The other question/s are, on the VMG8324 I had a schedule to turn the lights off in the evening, but i can't see this option with the XMG, is that just because it's a less feature rich model ?
Also, when i try to search for this model on the Zyxel UK site and worldwide sites, it doesn't even find the XMG 3927 !! which i find a bot worrying ? have i bought a pup ?
Many thanks for any help.
Damian

XMG3927-B50A? Don't see why not. You can connect it to another modem and use the WAN over Ethernet.
By the way, there is a whole product page for it here (https://service-provider.zyxel.com/emea/en/products/dsl-cpes/gfast/gfast-bridgesgateways/xmg3927-b-series).

You can see it here: https://service-provider.zyxel.com/emea/en/products/dsl-cpes/gfast/gfast-bridgesgateways/xmg3927-b-series (https://service-provider.zyxel.com/emea/en/products/dsl-cpes/gfast/gfast-bridgesgateways/xmg3927-b-series)
And welcome to the forum :)

Thanks re0 & roseway, yeah sorry i should of said i had found that page, but it doesn't show any firmware files.
is this router aimed at ISP's ? as it doesn't show up on a search on their main sites ?
Cheers

Its clearly not ISP exclusive as Zyxel UK are selling it directly on Amazon.

Has Zyxel changed their website? It seems like it used to be easier to find product downloads. :-\ Their download library seems to not be showing consumer models, which is a disappointment unless I'm in the wrong place.
Anyway, I think the XMG3927-B50A is on the same version since release.

From what I remember it was a firmware from last year was the newest which is what came pre-loaded on the router, as I contacted Zyxel support a few months back looking for a newer one (which they didn't have) as I couldn't get the 3927 to work with IPv6 on BT on gfast. Ended up returning it due to this issue.

Odd. IPv6 appears to be working fine for me on Zen. I know it's a bit late, but can you recall the sort of issues you had?

It wouldn't even get a public ipv6 IP address for itself let alone delegate anything and I presumed it was something to do with it being incompatible with BTs prefix size from some searching, but I know very little about IPv6 which doesn't help! Spent 2 weeks trying every possible setting and not even once did it work. In the past before I got gfast my 8924 had been a tad temperamental with IPv6 and occasionally needed a reboot, but at least it worked most of the time but given the gradual move to v6 going forward I didn't want to hang onto an expensive router if there wasn't a resolution as I was approaching the time limit for returning it for a refund.

Still no new firmware since the original release, very annoying as they've acknowledged a problem I identified some time ago in that it doesn't work with BT TV.
Most Zyxel routers have had the same problem (no idea why, TP-Link routers work out of the box) but a workaround was found by turning on concurrent WAN.
However Zyxel haven't provided this feature in this model's current firmware, it's time they got their finger out!

Has anyone requested the source code for the XMG 3927?
