I wonder if this applies to existing equipment needing replacing when it fails?  Its not like you can just slap another vendor in the mix if the entire upstream infrastructure is Huawei.

Is this an over-reaction? Can they really get remote-controlled or remotely hacked/crashed/DOSed by Chinese evil-doers? i donít know either way. I wonder why the kit cannot be security-reviewed by inspection, maybe hardware is questionable?
