I have received the HG612 today and it won’t connect to the internet, the DSL light is a dim green light while the LAN cables lights are on. Is it because of the firmware? Do I need to install the B030SP08 firmware as the line might have G.INP support. I’m sure I don’t have g.fast as well so can’t understand why it’s not working

And how do install the firmware if the router can’t connect to the internet?

In its default state the HG612 is configured as a modem. Do you have a router connected to it as that will be needed to supply the PPP connection details to allow an internet connection?

Yeah I have it connected to the ASUS AX86U, it works fine with the vigor 130

@Pa_Dawg You can connect to the internet using the vigor 130 so you can download the HG612 firmware file to your PC then unlock the HG612 modem offline. No requirement for it to be connected to the internet to install the firmware. It should only be connected to your PC while updating the firmware. However the dim green DSL light doesn't sound too good, it could be a faulty unit.:( If you do manage to update it you can access the modem stats which will show if it is getting sync and connecting etc.

How do I unblock it offline
