Hi,
As in the header. I’ve recently moved isp to Zen and have the supplied Fritzbox but ever since my Sky Q box and 3 other mini boxes keep losing connection even though I splurged on an additional mesh 3000 repeater🙁
I have tried to assign a fixed ip to the main Q box but this seems not to have helped, indeed it seems worse🙄
Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing this?
Previously I had a BT hub 6 that worked ok so I am guessing this is associated with the AVM router🤔
Hope this is the best forum thread for my query and if not maybe some kind soul would relocate 🙂
Thanks.

Do you know which part is losing connection - is it Sky Q to repeater or Repeater to Fritzbox. Also, where is the repeater, as it should be about halfway to the point where you lose wifi connectivity from the Fritzbox if it's going to work at its best?
:)

Hi
Thanks. I’m not really sure which one it is tbh. But the repeater shows it’s in a very good location according to the locator gizmo. I think it’s the actual router. Is there a way to tell as I’m new to their very detailed Fritzbox webpage🙄
Thanks.

So to clarify, did you buy the repeater to try to fix this problem as it sounds like you didn't need one before?
-
Can you check in Wi-Fi Channel Settings if that setting (see attachment) is checked? If yes, uncheck and test...
Also, if enabled and you don't need it, try to disable "Optimize Wi-Fi transmission for live TV"

That's a good AP, but personally I wouldn't lease from Zen, not worth it to pay £8 a month...

Alas I did buy the repeater for that reason and I am getting daggers from SWMBO🙄

Not sure I’m in right sector you referred to but it’s “ Wi-Fi Channel Settings
Set Wi-Fi channel settings automatically (recommended)”
I don’t see any option to Optimize wi-fi channel settings🙁
My bad. I’ve found the sector you mentioned and will try in due course. SWMBO is aiming to watch strictly come dancing so will hold fire until tomorrow 🙄. Thanks again.
Is that the one?
I am not leasing the 3000 from Zen I just purchased it as yes I feel Zens getting enough from me each month🙂
Thanks for your input.

It's in Wi-Fi Channel Settings --> Additional Settings (see attachment)
Don't use auto channel, set the channel manually
P.S.
I have the 7530 as Mesh Master and the repeater as Mesh Repeater, same for you?

OK it’s late but I am alone😊 and have unchecked the options referred to and just have “ Wi-Fi coexistence enabled (2.4-GHz frequency band)” enabled.
Will see if it’s an different tomorrow.
Many thanks.

OK so this morning the main Q box fired up ok and one mini box also. However one in kitchen needed a restart🙄
I have channels set on auto still but am unclear as to the function of these. Can you clarify please and what might the best settings be? Thanks again.
-
Oh I also have Fritzbox and mesh repeater as you🙂

I'd suggest you install a WiFi analyser app on your mobile phone to see which the most used channels are and then you can choose yours accordingly.
Also, give all the devices a static IP address and if not done yet, update to the latest firmware v7.21

OK and thanks for your input. Fingers crossed 🙂
Cheers.
