Title: REIN filter
Post by: Black Sheep on August 24, 2020, 07:34:03 PM
For info .... there is a new REIN filter being deployed for the field teams that may help with 3rd party interference ??

We sometimes get customers that have a 'noisy item' but refuse to isolate the equipment, so hopefully this new closure may help as it can be fitted to the dropwire/BT66, that OR own outright.

Unable to elaborate further but I'm sure there'll be other info about this, out there.  :)

Thank you for letting us know of the device's existence. I wonder who will be the first to spot one, deployed . . .

I assume the idea here is it protects the rest of the network from that users interference, allowing it to impact their own line only?

Yes, that is how I understand the use-case for such a device.
