Title: Zyxel XMG3927 IPV6
Post by: bkehoe on July 28, 2020, 08:47:09 PM
Hi everyone,

I'm just curious as to whether anyone has managed to get the 3927 to work with IPv6 on BT in router mode? I'm aware Zyxel devices appear to be a mixed bag when it comes to success with this on BT as I had issues in the past on an old 8924 making it work reliably. I'd have presumed their newer routers would have resolved this when deciding to buy this router but maybe not...The 3927 has the new web interface which has moved some options related to IPv6 around, so I've followed every guide for other Zyxel devices and related them as closely as possible to the menu options in the 3927, but I can't seem to get the router to obtain even its own IPv6 IP address and it just continually says 'N/A' for WAN IPv6 address.

IPv6 works perfectly on the BT SH2. In case anyone is interested, on G.Fast, the line stats including max rate are identical between the SH2 and the XMG3927 on my connection.

Just to add, the logs aren't very helpful to me. They're littered with dhcp6c errors and this is the only IPv6 output the PPPoE client seems to make;
pppd: Json PPP { \"local\": \"fe80::44f5:0f1d:2617:f4c2\", \"remote\": \"fe80::0000:0000:0000:0000\", \"linkname\": \"pppd3\", \"type\": \"ipv6\", \"state\": \"up\" }

Thanks, Brendan.
