Your SNR on the US side if very low at 2.7dB - are you getting lots of error on that side?
DS SNR is a bit low, but then you have G.INP running there.
:)
-
Here are the error stats.
Average error rates for 29 Jun 2020
CRC erors per hour: 0 Down, 2.32 Up
FEC erors per hour: 115212 Down, 106 Up
HEC erors per hour: 0 Down, 0 Up
ES per hour: 0 Down, 2.21 Up
SES per hour: 0 Down, 0 Up
Not too bad for the SNR, no?
-
Those numbers look fine. Has the US SNR drifted down over time (I see over 100 days uptime) or have you tweaked it somehow?
:)
-
Both have just drifted down over time. I keep an eye on the DS SNR quite regular and that just dropped from 3.1 to 2.3 quite sudden not sure about US. My ISP want me to reboot my router
-
Why does your ISP want you to reboot your router, surely they would only tell you that if you'd contacted them regarding a problem?
-
Bit of a slowdown which router reboot cured.

Rebooted

This is interesting as a couple of nights ago I had a resync (offline for over 12 mins) and now have the below.
I've not seen my line sync at such low SNR before (usually more like 3.4/6.4 DS/US), so I'm not sure if Openreach are trying even lower SNR with G.INP or whether I just got in early to the party when my line resynced?
:)

Similar situation last week with the 3 lines I monitor, different Huawei DSLAM's cabinets, see here.
https://forum.kitz.co.uk/index.php/topic,24911.msg418817.html#msg418817
I thought there might be some significance as all 3 had re-synch'ed at around the same time but the DSLAM FW revisions had not changed, my own line in particular synch'ed at the highest US speed I have ever had with corresponding drop in US SNRM.
However, would appear that it was just a case of the lines winning the DSLAM re-synch race.
I instigated a manual re-synch the next day as my US error rates were exceptionally high, now back to normally expected US synch speed/error rates again.
Have left the other 2 lines alone as they are not producing any greater error rates and have benefitted from slightly increased DS & US synch speeds.
-
Thanks tiffy. I suspected I had just resynced a bit earlier than others. Will leave alone for now as the error rates are fine.
:)
