Sorry if I've posted in the wrong forum, and even if there is a forum for it. (Mods?)
My problem is....
I have two monitors (duel account?) My wife has the other. :)
I have Google Photos with quite a lot of folders which I would like to copy over to her side so she can work on them to her heart's content ;)
Obviously I cannot just copy & paste, as I found out.
Is there a way to do this for a simpleton like me :D

Please explain the above a bit more clearly as I'm rather confused - I have dual monitors on my PC, if I'm logged in they are mine, if the wife is logged in then they are her's.

I'm sorry.
I invariably get the wording wrong when asking a question::)
in short...........
I can't get my Google Photo library over to my wife's side of the PC
Obviously tried copy & paste etc, but that won't work
Hope that makes sense?

I guess you mean you have 2 accounts on the PC rather than dual monitors.
Simplest thing to do is just to copy and paste the pictures to the Public pictures folder where you can then both access them.
-
I'd suggest creating a folder in the root of the C: drive in to which you can copy any files (not just photos) that you want to transfer to each other.
-
Thank you, guys.
I'll have a look into the folder you suggest, as never known that b/4 ::)
-
Why not just give her access to your Goggle photo account so she can download the ones she wants and work on them?
:)
-
TBF, she IS doing that at the moment, but this has now become a work in progress.
I'd very much like to know how to do it. ;)
Will keep plodding.

Forgot to say...
She is working at home for the NHS (secretary) and occasionally likes to wander into photos to do a project she's on.

I'm not sure how I can copy and paste ALL my google photos library onto Public pictures afraid?
-
I've just realised the photos aren't actually on your machine, they are on the Google cloud. Just give your wife access to your Google photo account. Just share the library with her.
-
Yes, I'm in the cloud with Google, but being a pain & idiot, I still don't know how to give access to her doh!!!
-
Click on the link that Ronski posted (which I obviously missed!) and click on the Add partner account box in the bottom left corner.
-
You're gonna think I'm a total idiot. :-[
I'm in "shared" etc
But there isn't an "Add partner account box".
Don't worry, I won't bother you again, and leave it for now.
I've got ALL the photos, so can hold her to ransom
-
In Google photos click the main menu at the top left.
From that menu select Manage your library which takes you to https://photos.google.com/managelibrary
That gives you the Add partner account option.
-
Ah, that looks like the answer, Thank you Jelv. :)
Sorry I've been a dummy with this issue.
-
You need to thank licquorice as well - it was his post that led me to realise exactly what you needed.
-
OK, I like liquorice, so thank you. ;)
If fact thanks everyone that helps me on this forum.
I've been lost since the end of QA :D
-
Great, The link does take me directly to add partner account, but going through the process it states "only view photos from now".
I want to add ALL my library if possible.
I'll keep searching, or just get her to use my account. :)
Thanks again.
-
Can't you just create a shared album and place all the pics she needs to see in there and then share the link?
-
Sorry guys for not getting back earlier.
I managed to get the photos my wife wanted.
My side, I saved photos to desktop, then attached them to her email address ha ha
Long way round I know, but couldn't get my thick head around the help you all gave me.
I'll have a look/think later when time allows ::)
