Title: West Midlands fibre cable(s) cut/break
Post by: Jon21 on April 29, 2020, 01:22:13 AM
Not sure if this is the right section for this but there seems to of been a fibre cable(s) cut/broken, that’s affecting the West Midlands area. Both Sky and Virgin have outages relating to it. I’ve noticed that my connection with Zen is showing a couple of increases in latency, starting around 1:15pm ish. I assumed it was just a routing change but might be indirectly related?

Sky and TalkTalk Business both use Virgin Media fibre, Zen use TalkTalk Business. Likely all the same incident.

Thanks Carl. Was due to a cut Virgin Media fibre according to the local paper.
