Title: Interleaving, how long is it likely to last?
Post by: sof006 on April 14, 2020, 10:34:00 AM
So this is purely my fault so i'm to blame here.

Yesterday I spent a good few hours mucking about with my Vigor 130 and during those times when changing settings its asked to be rebooted. I suspect that those reboots have caused my line to become interleaved and also a drop in speed. P.S I would like to add I did decided to try the SNR trick yesterday (which saw increased download speeds) and it didn't cause significant errors on my line so I don't think thats relevant but just as a precaution I removed any modified settings and put them back to defaults.

Looking at this, interleave depth isn't too high... so fingers crossed?

Your line is interleaved on booth downstream and upstream, so it may take a while before you back on fastpath.

How long is a while, if you're to guess?

If you don't do nothing to it it's between a week for first positive action up to several weeks/months. There is a lot of examples on this forum, even thread below yours https://forum.kitz.co.uk/index.php/topic,24069.0.html (https://forum.kitz.co.uk/index.php/topic,24069.0.html).

Looks like my interleaving changed back to fast in only a couple days. Got lucky this time!
