the BCM63138 is better and it is used in the ASUS DSL-AC88U beast with speeds of 900/500mbps on G.FAST and 300/100mbps on vdsl2 (depending on router specs), do you know a router that uses it and available in Egypt?

The BCM63381 is 1 of Broadcoms entry level (budget) SoC's.

The 3rd number that I put in bold above being a 3 usually indicates it's a cheaper chipset.

The BCM63168 actually performs better on my line than newer BCM63138.

OMG!! sorry I do not know how I saw it as BCM63138 instead of BCM63168, I have the tp-link vr400 v2 which has BCM63168 according to Whirlpool and the performance sucks for some reason.

Ditto. The BCM63138 may be higher spec but my line prefers the BCM63168 too. I don't know if this is down to the chip or the firmware.
