Sam has replied to my email about the availbility a few weeks back and it looks like both Home (Care Level 2) and Business (Care Level 3) connections are available with 330/50 Mbps.

Home 160/30Mbps Unlimited Use (Care Level 2)£48/month
Home 330/50Mbps Unlimited Use (Care Level 2)£57/month
Business 160/30Mbps Unlimited Use (Care Level 3)£57/month
Business 330/50Mbps Unlimited Use (Care Level 3)£66/month

Bear in mind there is no IPv6 availability, and there is no live date. But it is "something" they are working on.

Pulse8 offer 220/50 for £57 a month with no contract

According to an email I have had, Pulse8 are offering up to 330/50 Mbps unlimited on a monthly contract, with free install until March.

I was very surprised that Openreach won't mind for pulse 8 to have no contract because this pulse 8 are the only isp will offer g.fast with no 12 months contract.

The minimum term on G.fast, if you get it directly from Openreach as TalkTalk Business, Pulse8's supplier do, is a month, same as every other FTTC product.

EDIT: To avoid confusion if you purchase via BT Wholesale the minimum term is 12 months. Presumably due at least in part to their perhaps needing to spend money upgrading parts of their network to accommodate the higher capacity needs.

Pulse8 must have some kind of funky deal then, will query TTB tomorrow while we are at their roadshow at the National History Museum: https://www.talktalkbusiness.co.uk/partners/news-and-insight/events/partner-roadshow-2020/

I been asking Pulse8 a few weeks ago as Openreach rejected G.fast for my area Cuckoo Oak because there is due to a lack of capacity from TalkTalk Business for G.fast isn't available for some exchanges. Only the Openreach with BTw network will be available through Green ISP, IDNet, Zen, Sky, BT & AAISP.

The same with Plusnet ISP don't have G.fast on their product because there is no G.fast network capacity on their side. I know the cheaper G.fast 160/30 from TalkTalk using talktalk business are £28 per month with 18 months contract. Have to check their website Faster 150 Fibre - TalkTalk and check their availability checker.

That's scary, as it could scupper my FTTP plans if TTB has no capacity on my exchange as Zen use them.

Although its a big exchange, I'd really hope they will see its Fibre First and put in the infrastructure ahead of time.

Zen use BT Wholesale for FTTP even where they've unbundled the exchange much of the time.

Plusnet exclusively use BT Wholesale. They could sell G.fast if they wished.

Doesn't BT's implementation of G.fast require IPv6 to be present?

Something which Plusnet currently lack...

Good to know.  Seems a smart decision, means they have plenty of time to slowly upgrade their network based on where it would be most effective, while not holding back their product roll outs.

Will Openreach plan to addition 212 MHz for g fast in the future?

Extremely unlikely. That is intended for FTTB deployments, not the FTTC deployment Openreach did.

Definitely not. Completely unrelated.

A number of ISP's sell G.Fast and still offer no IPV6.

It would make more sense to find effective ways to utilise lower frequencies.

It seem openreach has increasing g.fast speed by an extra 20Mbps according to BTw checker:

Not really. They just used telemetry from your line to update estimates - as they should.

Exactly, if you look at the quoted cabinet: http://telecom-tariffs.co.uk/codelook.htm?xid=26501&postcodeloc=11446&cabinet=P8

I would hazard a guess that adslmax's new stats telemetry is being used to update all the addresses that can now have up to 300MB.

Would that leave all the 30MB areas as places which have flats or apartments that Openreach need wayleaves for?

@adslmax can you comment? are Castlefields Way and Wigmores both apartment blocks?

Not really. They just used telemetry from your line to update estimates - as they should.

Indeed, when I got my Plusnet line fitted it was estimating maximum sync because there was no telemetry for it.
Once I started using it the estimates reduced dramatically to below my Zen line, based on actual line performance metrics.

It's G.Fast? What do wayleaves have to do with it? Nothing touched but the addition of a pod on the PCP.

The 300 Mb areas on Codelook are probably Virgin Media coverage. The data from Mr Max will not be related - note how old the BT Wholesale data set is.
