Whilst doing a bit of housekeeping on home page of my android phone I accidentally removed the app/link to six apps including google maps. Is there any way of getting this back?
Thanks

Just install them again from the Play Store

If they've only been removed from the Home screen, they should still be there in the "main" list.
Try the grey icon with the 3 by 3 white dot matrix to get to that list, then press and hold to move to the Home screen.

Thank you for your replies.
I tried play store after my mistake but couldn't find the 'link app'.
I don't have the grey item with three dots on page of apps.

Sorry, I was making an assumption, based on my own Android phone.
Seems the icon referred to varies greatly on different phones.
I think it's likely you've lost the "launcher" on the home screen rather than the app itself, which hopefully is still in the "app drawer" - ie the screen(s) showing ALL installed apps.
This (https://www.dummies.com/consumer-electronics/smartphones/droid/how-to-find-an-app-in-the-apps-drawer-on-your-android-phone/) article may help.

Yes it is the launcher I have lost. Can't find in play store. None of the icons in suggested article exist on my phone.
The loss of launcher is not a big deal as apps are still on phone, I just wanted to see if it was possible to get it back.

It's not the launcher you've lost, the launcher is what controls the desktop, it's just the app drawer icon that's missing. It may help if you say what phone you've got and what version of Android it's running.
Try this, yours may vary depending on phone and Android version.

From your description it sounds like you've just lost a group of apps from your home screen.
You can recreate the group by dragging the apps onto your home screen and then dragging one on top of another to recreate the group. Then drag the remaining apps into the new group. You can then name the group and tapping on its name.

Ronski - Thanks for link, but my phone, a motorola doesn't have same options as samsung.
Tubaman - brilliant that works, very simple.
