Title: VDSL2 possible dual band sync?
Post by: adslmax on August 23, 2019, 11:53:24 AM
Can anyones tell me why is bearer 0 get sync rate of 80/20 but bearer 1 get no sync rate of 0/0 (are these future of possible dual band sync together like 2 x 80/20 make it 160/40?)

Max:    Upstream rate = 24458 Kbps, Downstream rate = 89818 Kbps
Bearer: 0, Upstream rate = 19999 Kbps, Downstream rate = 79999 Kbps
Bearer: 1, Upstream rate = 0 Kbps, Downstream rate = 0 Kbps (maybe future dual band sync ?)

I also notice extra addition on k10 (dBx100 below in red highlights):

xdslctl info --pbParams
xdslctl: ADSL driver and PHY status
Status: Showtime
Last Retrain Reason:    0
Last initialization procedure status:   0
Max:    Upstream rate = 24458 Kbps, Downstream rate = 89818 Kbps
Bearer: 0, Upstream rate = 19999 Kbps, Downstream rate = 79999 Kbps
Bearer: 1, Upstream rate = 0 Kbps, Downstream rate = 0 Kbps

Isn't this just for G.INP or vectoring

Bearer 1 carries all the overhead messages, not just G.INP related stuff either.

You can't just double speeds by adding another bearer.
