Their tweet:

Pretty hilarious when they give out awards for keeping the internet a free and open place.

If you want to enable it in firefox before it becomes default:
Code: [Select]
about:config
network.trr.mode 2

Uses https://mozilla.cloudflare-dns.com/dns-query by default.

If you are not using a VPN by default and have no problems with cloudflare having details of your DNS requests I think its worth enabling. Have captured a session with wireshark and observed the single clear text DNS lookup to cloudflare, then all subsequent DNS requests are lost in the noise of normal https traffic.

Crazy  ???

I see RevK has donated.

One internet provider, Andrews & Arnold, donated £2,940 — around $3,670 — to Mozilla in support of the nonprofit. “The amount was chosen because that is what our fee for ISPA membership would have been, were we a member,” said a tweet from the company.

Has been great publicity for AAISP tbh, every comment thread related to the news I have read has had people praising them in it.

It also means that if by some fluke I was to win the Internet Hero award I might get to take it home, as the personal intent was to present it to Mozilla as soon as winning it.
