Title: Leo dictionary
Post by: Weaver on May 08, 2019, 01:47:39 AM
I absolutely love the LEO English-German-English dictionary (https://dict.leo.org/german-english/) and I use it all the time. I saw an appeal from them for donations, triggered by the fact that my ad-blocker had cleaned all junk off the site, so I did indeed as asked and gave them a donation.

My god, if things like this had been around when I was at school forty years ago. Wiktionary too, which is stunning for etymology, for which I use it every day. Wiktionary is now even amazingly good for Scottish Gaelic too (the alternatives being SMO stordata (https://www2.smo.uhi.ac.uk/gaidhlig/faclair/sbg/lorg.php) and the stunning web-based Dwelly (http://www.dwelly.info/) aka ‘God’) and Wiktionary is really getting there for Old Irish too.

[This thread is old but still relevant.]

For Scots Dictionaries of the Scots Language (https://dsl.ac.uk) is a useful resource.
