Title: Strange happening on my Netgear D6220
Post by: broadstairs on April 20, 2019, 10:05:11 AM
Needed to remove and replace a lan cable on my D6220 yesterday and noticed when I unplugged it and re-plugged it the CRC errors went through the roof. I am thinking there is something amiss with the router, as long as I touch nothing it has a very low error rate but wobble any lan cable and the CRCs climb. Anyone else with a D6220 see this? Should add the lan cable was not in use when removed or re-plugged.

I suspect a dry-joint, possibly, on the PCB.  :-\

I did wonder, however today it did not happen. Perhaps a little more investigation is needed just in case it is a dodgy cable from BT socket and it moves when touching the lan cables.
