Title: Openreach milestone - one million premises passed

Just noticed this article pop up on my phone. Seems a fair amount of new passings in 17 days (100,000) if I read that right?

Kinda. They activated a bunch at once that they'd already built the fibre infrastructure to. Not uncommon for them to be doing both the work in the exchange and in the field at the same time and to have a few thousand or even a few tens of thousands of homes passed waiting for the OLTs to be commissioned.
