Title: A Break-through in Vista
Post by: J.Man on June 18, 2008, 09:41:04 PM
Hey all, a while ago I was recieving slow speeds on Vista but now I have made a break through in development  :) but soon after development came to a halt I found the problem was Vista is only allowed 2-Halfopen Connections and I found the bad boy causing it, I believe it is called tcpip.sys, I created a new version of it but I dont have permission to change the files around even despite the fact that i'm the Admin of the PC and I have full control of it. Soo any ideas on how i can get this permission stuff sorted.

Many Future thanks JMan

When you say you 'created' a new version of it - I'm interested to know what you mean.

This might help - warning - I haven't tested it, but I found it on Google. Use it at your own risk!!!

If Vista is so bad, why not roll back to XP?

I can't find my XP CD, and I'd rather work with vista give the new boy a chance then throw it away and build another PC  >:D
