Title: Openreach FTTP Fibre First Information
Post by: niemand on February 13, 2019, 02:36:58 PM
From - http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/fibre/t/4613061-fttp-fibre-first-towns-build-maps.html

Work in progress and next 3 months of the programme - map: https://www.homeandbusiness.openreach.co.uk/fibre-first/
List: https://www.homeandbusiness.openreach.co.uk/docs/default-source/default-document-library/dcms_transparency_data_capture-250119.pdf

Caveat from Openreach:

The above table contains a list of Openreach's FTTP Fibre First Towns, Cities and Boroughs Build Programme, which is based on the current announced 3 million premises Fibre First Programme. It does not show FTTP deployment related to BDUK, new sites, and other small scale infill.

When it says Exchanges Currently Building In, what does that mean?

In order to deploy FTTP out do they have to build something in the exchange?

Exchange areas with construction in progress.

New kit may be required in exchanges. Huawei OLTs if none are present with available ports.

nice info thanks Carl, sadly it looks like I will be reliant on cityfibre only for FTTP although it is only 3 months ahead, so not too much been shown with this.

Thank you for the info.

I have another question. I've been monitoring the pdf file called accepting orders, on the openreach site (Here (https://www.openreach.co.uk/orpg/home/products/super-fastfibreaccess/downloads/sffa_exchange_lists/accepting_orders.pdf))

For my exchange on the list it says FTTC/P & FOD. This wasn't always the case. When I first started looking at the file, openreach update it monthly, it just had FTTC on. Then FOD came on (and appeared on the dsl checker), and now FTTP is on.

Does this list bare any connection to the exchange list they are talking about in the fibre first pdf file, or are they talking about different things?

The majority of Head-End exchanges probably show as having FTTP.
Some of it is new build with FTTP only and some is BDUK funded FTTP.

The list of exchanges being discussed here is only those from the Fibre First rollout and doesn't include exchanges with small amounts of existing FTTP, BDUK or new build fibre only developments.
