Having at last got my VMG8924 B10A working, I am trying to set up DSLstats (current version here is 6.5), but it fails, "unable to log in to modem router.
Just in case I've missed something, is there any special action to be taken?
Reading some threads about ZyXEL routers, it seemed to me that earlier firmware blocked DSLstats. My firmware is 1.00(AAKL.10)C0_20151008, which a member has suggested is quite old. Is that a possible cause of DSLstats not working? Please!

Read my last post on the other thread ::)
Login to the Zyxel.
Bottom right menu, Maintenance.
Then Remote MGMT
Tick the left hand (LAN/WLAN) Telnet box.
Save.

Oh dear! I deserved that ::). It's working, and certainly syncing better than the PN Hub.
UP DOWN UP DOWN UP DOWN
SNRM SNRM SYNC SYNC MAX DATA MAX DATA
HUB 5.9 3.4 5485 23200 5485 24894
ZYXEL 6.2 3.7 5623 25767 5623 27533

Over a 10% improvement on the downstream, not bad.
Glad that's working for you!

Just purrfect. ^-^

Higher sync speeds and higher SNRM - great result

Now that setting up the ZyXEL is out the way, the DSLStats problem persists. Snapshots are not being saved, though the destination folder is as it was with the Billions. Event log reports continually inability to log in to the ZyXEL, but the SNRM graph belies that through its undulations.
What is causing this? Could a fresh install have been better? Comments please!
