Hi guys,
ive noticed I've lost a little bit of speed and that my IP Profile is now 73.7 instead of 77.35. Not sure why as I'm still on rtx low. Can anyone explain why and is there anything I can do to get back up to 77.35.

What modem/router do you use?
First thing I would try is powering both off for 15 mins, reconnecting, then recheck the IP Profile.
-
Hi mate.
I use a HG 612 connected to a Netgear XR500. I’ve tried powering rig off for 15 minutes and still the same
-
I have the same exactly. I can sync at 80000 but my IP profile is always 73.7 too.
I tried rebooting all sorts, but in the end I gave up. Now I just cap my line at just over 73.7 to reduce FEC errors down to @20,000 per day:
adsl configure --maxDataRate 73730 20100 100000
-
I'm syncing at 79999/19999.
Using https://windows.mouselike.org/be/index.asp?DoAction=BrasChecker
The current Downstream BRAS rate is: 77.35 Mbps
The current Upstream BRAS rate is: 20 Mbps
-
I wonder if the DSLAM remembers that initially my line had bearer 0/ INPRein=1 till I capped it for a while.
With bearer 0/ INPRein=1 my IP profile was 71.2 ish (even though syncing at 80000 or 79999 depending what mood the DSLAM was in).
Once INPRein=1 was removed I never saw an IP profile higher than 73.7, despite having nice low INP levels (46 or 47, sometimes 49)

Maybe the incoming SRA implementation will fix everything:

Mine also has gone down... hmm ???
-
Yep mine has also gone down. 79,999/19,999 on my TP Link VR900 but BRAS rate is 73.65Mbps DL UL is 20.00Mbps
-
Hmm do we know why? :P
-
Mine also has gone down... hmm ???
What's your sync/IP profile?
-
Connection speed (kbps): 79999 19999
Might have to try the smart hub see if that is the same...
EDIT it was same with smart hub...
-
No one else getting this?
-
Yes, I'm sure I have it too, albeit on BT's 40/10 package.
See discussion in this thread

According to https://windows.mouselike.org/be/index.asp?DoAction=BrasChecker (https://windows.mouselike.org/be/index.asp?DoAction=BrasChecker) my profile is
The current Downstream BRAS rate is: 77.35 Mbps
The current Upstream BRAS rate is: 20 Mbps
I'm using a Zyxel VMG1312-B10A in bridge mode and an Asus RT-AC68U router on BT

Kevin
Great combo, been running this setup for nearly 2 years.
My IP profile is still correct, retx low
The current Downstream BRAS rate is: 43.37 Mbps
on a 44856 sync. 96.687%
I've rebooted a few times recently.
Has anyone who's had this issue tried to get their IP profile reset? Is there such a thing still?
DLM knows the lines are ReTx Low, confirmed by GEA test before and after
-
Can I ask how you guys are getting your IP Profile? I try the BT Speedtester and it always fails.
-
https://windows.mouselike.org/be/index.asp?DoAction=BrasChecker
-
Mine still at 77.35Mbps on IP Profile with sync rate at 80000Kbps
-
https://windows.mouselike.org/be/index.asp?DoAction=BrasChecker
That doesn't work for me either?
-
All of you still showing your 77.45 IP profiles can I ask when you last sync'd cos mine was fine until a resync also
-

My last 2 DSLstats alerts were
Wed 23/01/2019 13:17
Sat 26/01/2019 13:40
The disconnections were the modem being removed then replaced while decorating.

My ip profile has drop now since this morning resync
Number: 01*********
The current Downstream BRAS rate is: 71.55 Mbps
The current Upstream BRAS rate is: 20 Mbps
fetching from https://windows.mouselike.org/be/index.asp?DoAction=BrasChecker
-
Max your BRAS rate has dropped because your connection speed has dropped, your profile still works out at 96.68%
Kevin
-
Who's your ISP?

????
-
??? Very odd and strange. Maybe DLM had changed new bras ip profile?
-
Mines stuck too
-
:P just checked mine as mine is remain ip profile rate 77.35 ::)

Outdated GEA test maybe?
-
Very interesting. I've never been able to test BRAS before as presumably Zen do not use it due to using LLU?
My new Plusnet line is curious though at:
The current Downstream BRAS rate is: 58.62 Mbps (63.5Mbit sync)
The current Upstream BRAS rate is: 20 Mbps
It certainly explains why I got a good bufferbloat score even without QoS.
That seems rather excessively capped considering my Zen line can do 65Mbit with an around 70Mbit sync. (can't get specifics as its current on an ECI modem) Clearly the profile doesn't need to be this low but sounds like its pretty normal for BRAS to be rather overly aggressive.
Its curious that my worst performing line actually has a higher handback threshold than the better performing one. Perhaps because its a brand new line so set to defaults?
I should have a more interesting picture once I switch to Zyxel VMG3925-B10B for the modems.
It does suggest going with an ISP that uses LLU can squeeze a bit more speed out of your line though.
-
GEA Test - I was looking at getting my line to Low so capped line but the stats indicated it was on low.
GEA tests show the profile the line was on 13 days ago.
