Title: Xmas kitten
Post by: Weaver on December 25, 2018, 08:35:33 AM
Poor Pangur Bàn spent the whole night, his Xmas morning, shut in the porch downstairs. He had we think either crawled in amongst the lovely coats hanging from the coat hooks and gone to sleep there, or had curled up on the heated floor in the downstairs posh bathroom. Either way, he was cosy and went to sleep, we think. Janet went looking for him this morning and he just appeared behind her, from inside the house, when she was looking out of the front door.

Janet said he was a bit strange in his manner when she saw him. She wonders if he thought he had been punished by incarceration in themporch, for some unknown crime. He had milk and cat treats when he came up to the bedroom, to put everything to rights.

Now he’s on the bed next to me and Somhairle is keeping very close to him. He has just asked to go under my duvet I complied and now just his head is peeping out. All three orientals right next to me as usual.

I have just heard George braying. Wants his Xmas breakfast. He’s taken to braying every morning if no one comes to see him early. Wants some kind of tasty treat. It’s George’s duty to call a human. Gilbert never brays but will whimper if frustrated when you are close to him, if he really wants something badly or you are not giving him what he wants quickly enough. It hasn’t in fact mastered the art of braying. There is the possibility that only the dominant one brays though - would have to try and look that up.

Kitteh treats and a cuddle (in a warm location) should put things to right.  :)

I've accidentally locked mine in the downstairs toilet/porch/laundry on more than one occasion.   They usually come out most indignant.
