So my family recently got a new ISP and changed our modem (to the one they sent us). I can connect to the wi-fi but there's no internet to connect to. These guys don't have a number I can call for technical support; all they have is an automated machine that tells me they'll call me back.

hmmm doesn't appear to be a UK ISP :-\
But unfortunately at the end of the day, if you aren't able to connect and have checked that your username and password are correct, then you have no alternative but to contact them.

Can a friend of yours email the ISP for you? If they have an email address. Which country are you in?
