Title: DGA4132 Remote access Via DSLstats
Post by: shaun1264 on August 21, 2018, 05:36:01 PM
In the past i've managed to log in outside the network via my static IP address into a router to gain the stats.  But I cannot get DSLstats to connect to a DGA4132 via the internet using my static IP address.

I have given remote access to my router using my static IP address which I can log in outside the network into the router.  This is accessed via https://staticIP:50   I can only access via the port number.  Originally the router allocated port number 80 but stopped working after a while.

How can I go about accessing this router remotely via the internet through DSLstats? Thanks

port 50 (or previously 80) is the webui port, not the port used by dslstats.
you'd need to open up the port that dslstats is trying to use, which is usually telnet port 23.

I think it would be a bad idea to have port 23 open to the Internet. It would get endless probes from botnets looking for devices to infect.

some ISPs/network operators also block some ports like 23 and 25 (at least vodafone germany blocks port 25 outgoing in their mobile phone network)
