Title: 192.256.0.245
Post by: Weaver on August 20, 2018, 03:14:15 AM
is Jason Bourne's ‘IPv4 address’. I was just watching a movie "Jason Bourne" in which this ‘address’ was clearly displayed. I suppose they could have used 192.0.2.* 198.51.100.* or one of the RFC1918 ranges or 127.*.*.* or 169.254.*.* depending on what they want to happen. Hollywood has not discovered IPv6 yet for some reason. Why don't the spooks use IPv7 even? IPv7 looks like ACED0449;817079>0;2BB10901#34F0114C;902D;1E6FCC01;FFFFFFFE

That's not a real IP address. The possible range of numbers in each segment is 0 to 255.

(Am I stating the obvious? I had no idea who Jason Bourne is.)

This (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_Bourne) might help.  :)
