Hi guys and gals,
This is not an issue, but rather a curiosity.
I have had my modem switched off a lot over the past few days. While I have not been switching it on off more than perhaps 1 or 2 times a day, I have noticed something today that I have not seen before on this line - synchronised at the full 80 Mbps (not 79,999 Kbps as usual). G.INP has been present for a long time on the downstream, but I believe the value has always been 48.
Stats as below.

I can see that the INP figure is slightly higher (48 prior versus 49 now), which I would have most thought to be responsible. I can also see that the Depth of interleaving has been reduced from 16 to 8, though the Interleaver block size has been increased along with number of Redundant bytes for parity. Although, I am probably missing the point exactly to why it suddenly wants to synchronise at the full 80!
Maybe someone could shed some light on this?

My guess is that it is indeed due to the INP changes. My non-G.INP line is banded at 15000, but only syncs at 15000 on the odd occasions when INP is up at 8.00 - when it's at 3.50 the sync speed is always 14999.
