Title: The 10 day training
Post by: g3uiss on June 15, 2018, 01:54:36 PM
I gad a stable ASDL2 line for some years until it all fell apart in February. After 7 Enginerrs I’m told it’s now a totally clear line.

The ISP (Plusnet ) have been very helpful, it seemed sorted about 6 weeks ago, but this week every morning the DLM kicked in and increased SNR, interleaving both US/Ds. The errors I saw on DSL stats seemed well within the accepted bounds. It was diagnosed as a line card the 2nd finally replaced last evening. DLM kicked in again this AM and increased SNR again.

So the line has been “reset” 6db US/Ds and no interleave. It never needed it originally. I to,d to expect the 10 training, but I can’t remember exactly what this means. Is that a DLM intervention every day or on the fly ?

I suppose I’m trying to avoid another 10 days of uncertainty. I’m ready to abandon it completely and just use my VDSL line which really belongs to work.

@Weaver. That's helpful sort of what I expected. But I still think my ADSL2 line has major issues.

Thanks
