Title: Leaping kitten
Post by: Weaver on May 03, 2018, 01:36:13 AM
A new phenomenon in my experience. Every time Mrs Weaver turns her back on Oisín the kitten, he launches himself from the floor in an attempt to jump onto her back or her shoulder. He lands more than half way up her back and clings on until boosted on to the shoulder or carried in front. The two kittens both want to be carried often.

I have visions of Mrs Weaver's clothes being slowly shredded as the kitten(s) (and claws) grow.

The kitten is too large now for comfort, and Mrs Weaver is worrying about what happens if summer comes, as layers of protective clothing for claws to attach into will diminish until in the end bare skin just waits for attack.

The other kitten, Somhairle, does not do this.

I have never ever seen an animal do this. They are so ridiculously soppy, wanting to be carried round all the time. Being picked up causes a storm of very very loud purring that is clearly audible across the room.
