Title: TBB ISP Latency Monitor Graphs
Post by: kitz on March 08, 2018, 02:07:34 PM: I've started this thread after a request to have one easy to access place where members can compare latency graphs for various ISP's.
Sharing of data is up to the individual and you have responsibility for ensuring that any info is updated.

Please keep discussion out of this thread. If you wish to discuss anything about observations or latency then please start a new topic.

The only information that should be in your post is your ISP, type of connection and any other information which may be relevant to your connection
The code to insert a new graph can be obtained from here (https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/monitoring/quality). Copy the code underneath the heading "Small Graph (500x219 px) - BBCode (for forums; not yet supported on thinkbroadband forums)"

Note: Yellow spikes appear to be a common feature of the VMG8324 (and similar BCM modems) in how it prioritises ICMP requests, rather than a fault of the ISP. This does not affect real time latency.

Post by: Alex Atkin UK on October 06, 2023, 08:09:28 AM: Updated my custom TBB image generator to include more line/connection specific information and remove ISP logos as while it looked nicer, it was getting a little busy and time consuming to add new ISPs.

If anyone wants to add more specific information for their connection just drop me a PM on the forum.

I figure it might be useful to include things like if you are on Virgin if its provided by legacy DOCSIS, RFoG or pure FTTP. Or if on Zen if its BTW, GEA or CityFibre.

Also how 5G is definitely not a replacement for home broadband unless you only do content consumption.
