Title: Underground Distribution Point / Big Green Can?
Post by: ktz392837 on February 13, 2018, 04:34:43 PM
Does anyone know what a distribution point looks like which could possibly be used for Gfast extension or Fibre On Demand?

I saw a BT engineer undo half or could be third of a manhole cover and he removed a big green container what was that?  It had a cap and under the cap were loads of wires.

Thanks

That will be a fairly standard joint-closure. I'm a little bit puzzled that you have described it as coloured green. They are usually black.

It was at a distance so my dark green could be black pity not a distribution node though very close to pole/house if it was, damn.

If, perhaps, that footway joint-box was waterlogged then the joint closure you saw being extracted could have green algae coating!
