Title: Tiddy Puss aka Orange (19 years of age)
Post by: Weaver on January 04, 2018, 11:36:44 AM
I’m extremely sad to report that we will shortly be saying goodbye to our old Crouch End cat, half ginger tabby half very vocal pedigree burmese. He purrs _a lot_, and very loudly, but is now ridiculously thin as her gets no nutrition from his food, despite six pouches of poshest cat food per day, whenever he asks. He has a girlfriend Beileag who dotes on him and constantly cuddles up to him. It’s a doting attachment unlike anything I have ever seen, but he finds it a bit much on occasion and bites her head when he's had more than enough pestering, although he is not so harsh as to succeed in putting the girlfriend off.

I’ll try and get a pic of him but the light is extremely poor, it's a very dark day here. He's in Mrs Weaver’s den currently where it is always warm. Caoimhe my little siamese girl is under the duvet curled up with me and Ciaran my greyhound is snoozing on the bed next to me, having occasional strokes.

Tiddy Puss in a cardboard box:

What is it about boxes and confined spaces in general? Here is Exhibit A, his girlfriend, Beileag

Here are the two (well maybe one) lovebirds:

Orange looks pretty happy there, because she isn't too much in his face, all over him, pestering trying to get him to wash her.

Right now he's curled up on the duvet next to Mrs Weaver’s feet. He likes that spot because of the  possibility of a hot water bottle underneath, no luck on this occasion though.

Aww thank you for the photos, he is indeed very handsome.
So sorry that he is not well, it's horrible when they lose their appetite and/or get no nutrition from their food. :'(

I still have dreadful problems with Zigs, who despite all I do only just hovers at 3kg and I just cant seem to get him over that weight.  I syringe feed Hills A/D Recovery which is high protein to try and keep him at 3kg.    Zoe will tend to hoover up anything Zigs doesnt eat, but I darent let her near the A/D.  She is only small boned with tiny head and paws a fraction of the size of Zigs, yet she is shall I say a healthy weight.  Despite her being a fussy eater (most Birmans are), she would quite happily eat A/D if I let her.   If I didn't syringe feed Ziggy, I'd be lucky if he ate even a few mouthfuls of food per day.  I can put chicken or fish or prawns and leave them out on the food counter and he wouldnt touch them, he may sniff food but thats about it.  The only thing he does like atm is Whiskas Fish Soup, where he will take a few laps of the milky soup and leaves the meat & fish for Zoe.
