Title: Hardware Setup Recommendations
Post by: 007 on December 30, 2017, 10:00:47 PM
Hi all,

I know this has been asked many times but what setup would you recommend for BT FTTC?

I'm connected to a Huawei cab, and swaying towards a 2 piece setup to avoid possible DSLAM issues. Currently my ISP is Sky (Switching back to BT) and i get 40000/7880.

Anything Netgear is out the question as no /56 prefix IPv6 support, also I used to have a D7000 on a BT circuit and had too many problems.

Thinking of getting Draytek Vigor 130 paired with a Linksys EA9500.

Comments on your setups and any advice is welcomed.

Thanks

broadcom modem for sure seeing as you on huawei cab if it was me. Asus rt-ac88u has worked very well on a relatives bt infinity line. supports bt ipv6 too. I have a 3925 (bridge mode) sat in front of their router for line stats and matching modem to cab type
