Title: Any screenshots of recent diagnostics done by Plusnet support?
Post by: ktz392837 on December 01, 2017, 06:47:52 PM
Is anyone able to help with recent screenshots of all the diagnostics that Plusnet usually add to their tickets when someone reports a broadband fault? (Obviously assuming there is no personal information on them)?

If a few people can post together with a date when run as I would like to see what is included and whether it has changed over the past several months?

Thanks

Maybe a silly question, but have you trawled through their Community Forum?

U can ask any plusnet staff for request for GEA Test via plusnet forum here: https://community.plus.net/t5/Fibre-Broadband/bd-p/Fibre

I would like some screenshots (including any graphics) from tickets if at all possible.  I know it is a strange request.  If anyone can help great.

Thanks

I'd have to go trawling through old tickets to find some (which isn't always easy if you cant recall a date).
ADSLMAX has had several fairly recently, so perhaps look at some of his if you want recent.

...  and for comparison, this is a graphic of one done one my line in 2015, which was easy for me to find, as I'd downloaded it to PC.

btw... if you note even back then DLM date stamp was old compared to date of test run.   I first noticed that DLM data would not always be up do date after G.INP mk 1 was released if thats what youre looking for.

Does anyone know if these ever have a line specifically for Banded yes / no?

Look at the profile name in the GEA test, if the speed is not the maximum for the product (e.g. 80Mbps or 40Mbps) then it is a banded profile.

I have also had experience of the GEA test result not being up to date, when I had a line fault earlier this year, the line was banded at a low speed and G.Inp applied on upstream, (normally downstream only). When I pointed this out to PlusNet on their forum, they claimed I was not banded. So the test is fairly useless for examining the current line conditions.

Interesting post by PN staff over line banded https://community.plus.net/t5/Fibre-Broadband/Banded-profile-DLM-issue-inflexibility-and-threats-of-charges/td-p/1379017

As pointed out by R.A.M, it will show in the Profile Name
eg this is from Max's latest GEA result which shows he is banded at 74Mbps

This is outdated GEA Test by BT System.

My latest stats below doesn't match GEA Test:

Connection speed (kbps):   74000      19999
Interleave depth:          16      1
INP:                       49.00      0
G.INP:                     Enabled      Not enabled
