Guys
I am thinking about getting a second circuit, now that they are cheaper (£18 for adsl and £24 for fttc per month) - FTTC or perhaps ADSL to go with my exiting FTTC.
Are there any crosstalk (or other) issues with this, given they share the same cable from DP to my home (I appreciate they are different pairs)?
I assume not, given that the neighbourhood is all distributed to the cab/dp in a 100pair cable!

No doubt much will depend on many other things.
For what its worth, I have had an ADSL and VDSL line running at max speeds, one private, one business.
Then again, I am very close to the exchange and cabinet.
Guessing you will only really find out after you give it a go.

Obviously everyone will have a different experience, but I have two FTTC lines using two pairs of wires in the same drop cable. I tried this once and thought I'd notice an impact on the already active connection, however I didn't notice any impact (e.g. SNRM didn't change). I found this odd but there we go.

I used to have two lines on FTTC but I never noticed any problems. Funnily enough since abandoning one of them, I haven't noticed any difference either ;)

I have two lines, one VDSL and one ADSL and have had no issues.

ADSL and VDSL use different frequencies, and VDSL is set up to avoid the ADSL ones to prevent crosstalk, so it should be fine.
However the second pair may have other noise etc coming down it once connect up so you will never know until you try for sure.

That's not quite right. The VDSL2 spectrum includes all the tones used by ADSL, but power cutback is employed on VDSL2 to minimise the crosstalk.

Given the impending offers, think it will be a second fftc... and see where it goes.
