Title: Windows phone doesn't like my routers 6to4 tunnel
Post by: banger on September 02, 2017, 09:43:12 PM
I have a couple of Windows phones connecting to my DSL-N55U router on 2.4ghz wifi. Yesterday I reset my phone and tried to download the backup from the cloud which would restore my apps on the phone. Could I sign in to Outlook could I heck.

About a month ago I set up 6to4 tunnelling as my ISP doesn't support IPV6 yet natively. Email has been working fine on the windows phone with 6to4 setup but the store could not download app updates which I was trying to figure out with Google's help.

Anyway, in a moment of madness I turned off the 6to4 tunnel on my router and my phone could then sign in to Outlook, download the backup file and restore apps in the store.

So either my 6to4 tunnel which seems to work well with my Windows 10 PC on IPV6 doesn't like my Windows phone on 2.4ghz or my Windows phones have a non-standard setup of IPV6 or none at all. It is Windows Phone 8.1. Interesting.
