I have been experiencing problems with connecting to the internet through my BTHub6 router to the point where upon opening my web browser the home page wouldn't immediately load, but was taking up five to ten minutes. Then clicking on book mark web page then took another 10 minutes to load.
I tried rebootong PC but this did not help. Eventually I reconnected my old netgear router. PC didn't connect immediately and went through diagnostics which noted local area connection (at least I think that was the message) hadn't connected, diagnostics resolved this and now I am back on line. The internet connection has been slow over last couple of days, but only through web browser, emails have been downloaded with no problems.
Any advice on what might be causig the problem with my BT router would be appreciated.
Thank you

The problem may unfortunately just be the fact that it a Hub 6 (SmartHub) as they haven't been getting a very good press in the BT forums.
If the connection is still slow with the netgear router then it could be a line problem - can you post the line connection stats from the router for us to look at please?

Hopefully I have the correct statical information from netgear router as:
System Up Time 05:54:10
Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
WAN PPPoA 138272 181412 0 1152 9489 05:53:20
LAN 10M/100M 68619 62638 0 2845 503 05:54:06
WLAN 54M 144709 104584 0 7330 1262 05:53:56
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 21817 kbps 1063 kbps
Line Attenuation 6 db 1 db
Noise Margin 3 db 7 db
Interestingly my andriod phone had no probelms connecting to internet when using BT Hub.
I got the BT hub second hand and as it's only a couple of years old thought it would a good upgrade for my elderly netgear ruoter. It's seem my optomism was misplaced.
Thank you
