Title: Exchange FTTP question.
Post by: Bowdon on August 14, 2017, 07:45:07 PM
I'm not sure if I've asked this previously. But forgot the answer  :-[

If the exchange isn't listed as being FTTP enabled, does this mean no cabinets can offer FTTP/H services?

FTTP doesn't invole cabinets.

It's done via a series of nodes that are housed in underground chambers.

FTTP connections will rarely terminate at your local exchange, they'll go via the headend exchanges as I understand it.

No Sir. From what I was told it means there're no native FTTP connections on the exchange and no live FoD customers either.
