Title: HG612 re-flash issue
Post by: chis1 on July 19, 2017, 10:46:23 AM
I was successfully running a re-flashed BT HG612 modem until I made a silly mistake in it's LAN configuration and 'lost' contact with its GUI.
I've attempted to re flash it several times but with no success. I can access the bootloader page and the flash appears to succeed, but after the modem re-boots I cannot connect to it's GUI. Nor can I Telent or SSH to it. On the boot loader page I can ping it on 192.168.1.1. After the flash I cannot ping it. Its function as a modem continued to operate OK throughout. Any ideas why I cannot access the GUI? (I am sure I am using the GUI latest version of the code) (If it is relevant, the BT agent has always been running.)
Thank you

What is the full name of the firmware image you are flashing it with?

BT agent is disabled in that version. What makes you think it's running?

Nothing. I am mistaken, I just thought it was running by default and had to be manually killed. I vaguely remember talk of BT pushing firmware updates that removed the web pages and wondered if that might be my problem. But clearly it can't be.
