Title: ASDA Mobile
Post by: Delta4orce on May 14, 2017, 12:08:19 AM
They used to be 3G only but have recently upgraded to 4G requiring a new sim card and a number moving process to use their 4G.

I have a dual sim phone running android 5.1. I use both Tesco and ASDA.

Tesco always sets up as 4G from the moment the phone is booted. ASDA refuses to see 4G at all unless you go into the connection type, switch from 4G down to 3G and then back to 4G and then miraculously it stays on 4G (this is after switching data to sim slot 2).

So if i turn off and swap the sims to check that its not the physical sim slots at fault and then turn on again, Tesco in slot 2 works flawlessly while the asda sim still decides to go slow unless i manually switch it up to 4G.

Any one else having problems like this? Admittedly my 3G signal is usually only half.. but when switching up to 4G it will stay 4G for hours with no hassle or loss of signal.

Anyone else having problems with asda or EE?

I was under the impression that 4G only ever works on the first SIM slot in phones?
