Ouch.

Once again, who is going to really end up paying? As we discussed before. Need to be very careful about the ultimate source of the cash.

One thing that needs to be clarified is that the fine has been levied as a result of delayed Ethernet installations (e.g. Ethernet Access Direct, etc) and not for delayed domestic nor for delayed business Broadband installations.

It seems we've been liberal with the 'Deemed Consent' agreements.

'Deemed Consent' is an agreed process between Openreach and its Communication Provider (CP) customers. It allows Openreach to halt the installation and reschedule the delivery date for providing dedicated business services (known as Ethernet) in a number of specific circumstances beyond its control.

Our CEO (Clive), has indeed proffered his apologies.

Why anyone would give Vodafone high-speed ethernet lines as they can't even provide a workable broadband service to customers, they should stick to mobiles phones and forget about landline  Broadband full stop

Why anyone would give Vodafone high-speed ethernet lines [...] they should stick to mobiles phones

Errr ... Vodafone likely use the "high speed ethernet lines" as backhaul for the mobile network.
