Title: Minimum number of brain cells required to be a journalist = 10 Meg (exactly)

From the Ross-Shire Journal:

It indicates that 66 per cent of the constituency is unable to receive speeds of up to 10 megabits per second (Mbps), the minimum required to usefully access programs such as on-line banking or shopping websites, putting these users at a disadvantage.

I thought it was 7.15 Mbps, not 10 ?

How did we manage when we were using dial-up? I used the web satisfactorily using sometimes-compressed / sometimes not 49 kbps, so 49 - 150 kbps, and still managed somehow at 0.5 Mbps.

Idiots. Note the worship of special sacred numbers like 10.0.

And an 'on-line banking website' is a 'program' apparently. Possibly true but a clumsy attempt at English.
