Title: Huge drop in latency following a resync
Post by: Weaver on March 21, 2017, 06:06:46 AM
The latency on line dropped from an unusual 56 ms to ~37 ms on line 4 when the modem was forced to resync. It had been at this new high value for several days started when I switched interleave back on on that line after it had somehow mysteriously got turned 'off' (supposedly, anyway) by some mistake somewhere. Any ideas why it dropped suddenly?

See the lowest of the three graphs, the sudden reduction in the height of the dark blue band at the bottom. Dark blue is minimum latency, see key on rhs, scroll horizontally if need be :

by the way do all 3 of your lines have equal interleaving delay parameters? if they dont then that may explain packet reordering issues when bonding.

The latencies are now all the same on the three lines, and always have been apart from during the few days mentioned earlier. And of course the line binding downstream has always been very very efficient, the individual contributions do add up to roughly 100%.
