Title: AMD announces Ryzen 5 CPUs
Post by: Ronski on March 20, 2017, 07:24:50 PM
Ryzen 5 CPU's available from the 11 April apparently, prices in Dollars, so probably add 20% and that would be in pounds, but still great prices for a 6 core CPU, the lower end ones are only 4 core though.

Did anyone compare ryzen to haswell or broadwell instead of skylake and kabylake for gaming?

It was discovered during benches of skylake that ddr4 ram makes a noticeable difference in gaming performance, but all the tests seem concentrated in comparing to skylake and intel 6900 cpu's.

We know intel wins on per core intensive games due to lower clock speeds of AMD, but does the ddr4 advantage nullify it when comparing to ddr3 intel chips is my curiousity.
