Hi All,
Solwise are now looking into the issue with the Ar7 Chipset. They have not yet confirmed the issue, however I have spoken with a member form Solwise and I have been assured that the new DSL Code is being looked into.
The major set back is that if the DSL code does need to be changed then the firmwares available from RouterTech will not work as the modem does not have enough memory to compensate accordingly and hence cause other issues.
It is being discussed that if this is the case then the Manufacturer will have to re-issue the firmware for the modem again, allowing for the new DSL code by removing some of the features which are just basic padding that no one uses.
When i have any further updates i will post them here and keep you informed.

Please do - thanks azzaka :)

I raised this issue with Solwise a couple of months ago and at that time they said it was a solely a Netgear issue, there was not a problem with their routers. Looking at the posts in their forum they seem to be struggling to break out of this mindset. Good luck with them.

It was my experience that despite appearances Solwise had very little input with the manufacturers regarding bugs. I know the SAR705/715 had very few of the (many) glaring bugs fixed, despite endless assurances on the forums.

Well i must have hit a nerve. The forums are dead. ???
-
The forums at Solwise you mean? If so then they have been that way for ages.
-
No i meant dead as in down for the count.... offline, went walkies off a short pier, gone daddy gone, no more, *POOF*!
But they're back now. It appears they are running them off a clara.net adsl connection.

It appears they are running them off a clara.net adsl connection.
Why am I not surprised? :D

See there is a reply from Solwise on this issue

They claim that BT say this is a Zen only issue !!

lol yeah I saw that the other day too.
I believe Azzaka may have some more info on that though, and they may now be beginning to take note.

Aye,
the new Firmware should be released within the week. Now on the forum Steve posts that he is not sure and he is changing the code because i have suggested it works better on the lines.
I did not just suggest. It DOES work better and more stable. Steve also states that BTW say it is a Zen Netgear issue... It is not just an issue with Netgear's or he would not be changing the Datapump.
Steve has also been quoted saying, that Infineon have said not to use the same Datapump as the one released for Netgear. This is fact. There is a new Datapump being released and is the Version 7.01.05.66, and is the upgrade to the Beta version 7.01.04.00. Please be aware that although it does fix some lines, it will not fix all lines and you may still need to raise a fault with your ISP.
I have seen the modem change the Sync speed by close to a MB higher when the Datapump is used. So please, if you do use the new firmware let me know your thoughts as usual. I will place a link here when i get the new firmware.
