Title: Fast.co.uk and 186k gone under?
Post by: Weaver on December 15, 2016, 03:52:47 AM
It seems that fast.co.uk plus other associated companies/brands 186k / Firenet have suddenly gone under due to not paying their wholesale internet access supplier’s bills, according to ispreview. See

Some former customers have gone over to Andrews & Arnold very quickly. I think some went to Aquiss too, iirc. AA reported that they have done some kludges on their radius server so that working login usernames can be allocated to the new migrants to get them working very quickly.

An earlier discussion can be found in the "Major outage at broadband biz 186k (http://forum.kitz.co.uk/index.php/topic,19067.msg339146.html#msg339146)" forum thread.

Zen have finally responded. We're not chasing customers, however a 4G connection is on offer till the waiting period is observed.

According to an entry (http://www.revk.uk/2016/12/connecting-to-aaisp-fast.html) in his personal blog, Adrian Kennard mentions that Andrews & Arnold (http://aaisp.co.uk/) have now provided numerous ex-Fast customers with Internet access.
