Title: New Netflix privacy terms
Post by: sevenlayermuddle on December 01, 2016, 10:50:08 PM
I just tried to watch something on Netflix.   I got told I had to agree to new privacy terms.   I could choose to plough through 30 pages of legal detail on the TV screen, or have it emailed to me, or just tick 'I agree'. :o

I wonder how many people read all the small print.   And of those who don't, or who just ticked 'I agree' on the basis that Netflix are warm and cuddly and trustworthy,  I wonder how many are up in arms at the UK 'snoopers charter' which at least is controlled by UK parliament in the interests of UK citizens.  ::)

Darn, meant to post this in 'tech chat', not news.   Should any attentive admin agree that would be more appropriate, feel free to move it. :-[

No idea, sorry.

It wasn't an App update or anything like that, just a popup that appeared ootb last night when I tried to access netflix, on a device that's been in use for many months.
