Title: Optical Fibres and Connectors

If I have understood the sheath colour code convention correctly, both fibres (shown in the two images, below) are mono-mode fibres.

In image-4, having identified all the hardware (an ADVA FSP150CP with a 0061003013 SFP), I am able to state that the connector is the SC type.

In image-5, I am having a problem identifying the connector. At a first look I thought it is the LC type but upon further consideration I think the connector might be the SC type . . . or is it something completely different?

:help:  If there is anyone able to assist, by either confirming or correcting any of the above statements, then please do so.  :)

Image 5 is indeed an SC connector.
Whether the end termination is cut flat across or angled is another matter....they do come in two versions, though the blue of the casing suggests is is flat(UPC) rather than APC which should be green.
As I recall due to the wavelengths used the APC (angled) version is used when transmitting TV and the flat one when transmitting broadband/data.

Edit - its all to do with the difference in how the light wavelengths might reflect at the junction where due to the limitations of the connector type the match between the incoming and outgoing plug might (or rather will) not be exact.

I know that the connector used with the Huawei HG8240 (the device installed by Openreach for FTTP) is SC/APC and is coloured green.
