Title: Volunteering
Post by: Weaver on September 04, 2016, 03:05:01 AM
Is there any way I can help the Kitz team with the burden of work connected with the excellent site in any way? Note: Am just offering, and a ‘no thanks’ will in no way offend.

Warning: I don't know how much use I would be given my physical and cognitive limitations. But I do have lots and lots of time.  :o

I realise that there's a lot of work to maintain and administer a cathedral such as this. :) Very best wishes from a grateful user who has learned a lot thanks to all the sages in the community and to all your work in building it in the first place. And yet I have not learned nearly enough yet, and keep forgetting things what with all the drugs. ???

Note 2: Please don't overestimate my pitiful knowledge relating to DSL and Internet access technologies and business. Firstly, I'm just plain ignorant, and secondly I don't have FTTC so am lacking a lot of valuable experience relating to the modern world. I don't wish to try and present myself as an expert - there are a dozen truly impressive sages / gurus in the kitizens community, experts on a variety of topics, and compared to these giants I am seriously a midget in awe. ;D

Thanks weaver.

The site has a wiki, (http://wiki.kitz.co.uk/index.php/Main_Page) which any of the regs can apply for a login to write articles.
I have it set to manual request to avoid bots and spam etc.

kitz I had a look but cannot find a apply button, but I am interested in writing some tips for the malware protection section.  My guides will try to concentrate on free mitigation so I wont be promoting commercial products.

ok will start work on it, If you remember I did start some windows security stuff several months back but then sort of stopped as seemed no interest, but a wiki is a better place for guides.
