Saw this on eBay - Fujitsu XG2000 PD-XG2000FB 20-port, 10Gb Ethernet Switch LSI "Fully Tested" (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222055830153). You can get very cheap Mellanox 10Gb SFP+ cards from eBay.com and XFP transceivers. Cheap way to get a 10Gb network. :)

I now have one of these, what the auction didn't mention is that it came loaded with 8 10Gb optical transceivers and 5 10Gb Cx4 transceivers - eBay seems to give the market rate for all these transceivers at around £260 so, although I'll use some of them, I'm pretty pleased.
Initial downside, very noisy - not suitable for human environments, luckily once you swap out the stock fans(I've only done one power supply so far) it's effectively silent - took this example as a rough guide - https://forums.servethehome.com/index.php?threads/quanta-lb6m-10gbe-discussion.8002/page-9
As I say the listing doesn't mention transceivers but that's what mine turned up with. Quite pleased so far, fingers crossed there won't be any problems. :)
